Hi, my name is Nicky Brandon. I have been with Topiary Farms for 4 years. I have helped build and run the various camps and programs that we offer today. I was born into the world of horses being a trainer’s daughter. I was on a horse before I could walk. I had a natural connection with animals, and often helped my mom with the horses that were labeled as dangerous.
Through working and horse shows, I learned a lot early in life. I left the horse world for a bit to gain another knowledge. My marine corps experience taught me leadership, honor, courage, commitment, and determination. I also have knowledge/background in behavioral therapy, medical, veterinary, childhood development, dementia care, and a variety of special need therapies. I use all my experiences and knowledge now to create a unique riding and learning experience. Through various communication and teaching styles, I create a unique lesson for each rider. I focus on confidence and conquering fears.
My goal is to teach true horsemanship and show my students just how much horses can teach us in return. I want to help every rider foster their love of horses and unlock their true potential with lessons that will last them a lifetime no matter age, size, or ability level. It is very fulfilling for me to help a student achieve and accomplish things they didn’t know possible! Since knowledge is infinite in the horse world, I am always continuing my education to bring my students new and interesting information and techniques.

Hi! My name is Ann Bonn and I am the beginner’s instructor at Topiary Farms. I have been riding horses for over 20 years. I fell in love with horses and animals at a very young age. I give lessons to first time young riders. My favorite part about giving lessons to kids is watching their big smiles when they trot for the first time! My students get so much more from my lessons than just learning how to become a better rider. I want my students to become a team with their horse and to learn how to be kind and compassionate to their horse. Horses have feelings, the students need to get to know their horse’s personality. Riding horses is so much more than just riding. It is also caring and providing a loving environment for the horse and rider so they can blossom into a great team. This sets them up for other things in life!
